At the end of 2022, the Reading Science Center and Habitat for Humanity Berks partnered in a one-of-a-kind fundraiser, “Building Up.” Generous donors supported this initiative by purchasing EverBlocks for a unique house structure with the proceeds going to support educational programming at the Reading Science Center and to help Habitat Berks in building and renovating urban homes and neighborhoods. Thank you to volunteers from MG Architects and Entech Engineering for leading and working with our Sisters in STEM girls after school program to assemble the house in its new home!
On December 2, 2023, the Reading Science Center hosted the Berks community at the official ribbon cutting of their newest exhibit, the House of Learning!
Building blocks are often a child’s first step into the world of STEM. The House of Learning offers a place where imagination and creativity come to life on a grand scale through the power of STEM! We are thrilled to obtain these large building blocks for our guests and intend to add more educational pieces to the structure in the future!
